NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION CHECK.

Last december, I created 10 of my 2009 Resolution. Let's revisit those and see if I was able to cover what I promised to do this year.

1. Smile more and frown less or better yet always smile. I know that challenges will come my way, I'm gonna solve them one at a time with the best solutions I can think of. (Wow, very positive) CHECK!! 1 Point.

2. Be more positive, being pessimistic will only aggravate my hypertension and might result to me eating more. Keep a positive mindset of 2009. I will have a better and stronger 2009. CHECK!! 2 Points.

3. Strictly follow my diet. No pork, no beef. Low salt, low calorie, low fat... should I say don't eat. Goodbye lechon, goodbye caldereta, goodbye kare kare. As Dra. Feliciano says, this day onwards, I will live my life as if I am a fisherman who can only afford fish and chicken. But I am seeing exceptions every so often. Joke!! Oops!!! I missed!! I guess every meal is an exception.. sarap kumain, ano magagawa ko?

4. Ensure to always have meds and drink it as scheduled. Sekwet.. madami magagalit.

5. I will engage myself in more walking than sitting. So I plan to adhere with my floor walking schedule every day and will create an activity that will help me burn fats. I think... i think... i'm not sure... hehehe

6. I will make sure to budget my money wisely. Its not that I didn't last year... but I'd like to manage my budget this year so that I could have more savings. This is gonna happen, pretty soon.

7. I will allot at least Php 1000 every payday for savings. I might have been drunk when I wrote this... I'm stucked with 2 points.

8. I will call mom every so often, I miss her so much. Better yet, visit her twice a month. Still stucked with 2 points.

9. I'll make sure to have a balanced work and personal life. 20% work, 80% personal... balanced right? If someone sees this from the office... you guys know I'm joking. Seriously I am. Hehehhe. CHECK!! 3 Points.

10. I'll reserve number 10 for later, something that should come my way and I have to include it in my list. I haven't though of anything for my 10th resolution, we still have 2 more quarters... so no rush.

OMG!! 3 out of 9... that's sad. I really have to get going now... need to hit the sack... I have work at 1:30. Hopefully this is the start of my BEING BACK IN THE BALL GAME. TTFN!!

The past several days were super tough. It was one of the darkest moments of my life, I was not strong enough to withstand the adverse condition of time... and believe me.... for someone not used in being single... you wouldn't want to be in the same spot I am in.

I hope everything turns out fine.

I would like to thank the people who stood beside not thinking if I was right or wrong, who made me realize my mistakes and made my better half and I feel that we are meant for each other and that this is just one of the rough moments of our partnership.

In roughly 4 days, I will be entering the 1st year of my 30's. What is in store for me? I don't know. I'd like to be wise on what I wish for. So if I had 1 wish, I'd like to multiply that 1 wish to a million wishes so that I can wish not just for my self but for the people I love and the people in need.

I wish for a million more wishes.

At this point, I can't truly say I'm complete... not unless I have all the important people back in my life, I can say I am complete and contented.

Hope I have you guys back, probably not now... but real soon.

At long last... the Baguio trip. The group was not complete, we missed the 8 others but this trip was surely a blast. It was a fun-filled 3 days 2 nights at the City of Pines with a cold weather of 14 degrees. Here are some photos of the trip.

Exactly a month ago... my friendivah, Apple Dela Cruz invited me to create my own facebook account... I was a bit hesitant since I did not want to add more to my usual browsing... anyway I have friendster. But when my friends told me about it... I was convinced to create my own facebook.

It was like friendster with a whole lot of new features. It was like friendster and myspace. Now, I super love FACEBOOK. It has become a part of my daily routine or should I say hourly routine. Its addicting, especially Fashion Wars and the Pet Game.

Exactly January 1, 2009, I invited my friend apple to play the Pet Slide game in Facebook as I was super hooked to it. Pet Slide is a feel good pet game, just like Tamagotchi. Moving on, she said she was not into that game and she shared with me what she was into and sent me the link.

I clicked on the link above and tried playing around with it. It gave me a set of instructions and found myself hooked and inviting Richard and a few of my friends to be on my Posse list. OMG... whatever happened... Bam won't like this. Shocks... I'm hooked!!

The Convergys Noire Christmas Party was super fun. There were a lot of activities for the employees. Not so lucky me, I arrived late since I had to get my "Ravena" costume from a friend. When I arrived, registration was super organized... I just had to enter my Employee ID and everything was automatic. After registration, it was like an awards night coz the photographers were waiting for me for the initial photoshoot. When I entered the party venue, the party was starting. There was super good food and cool activities. I could say that my company loves their employees. Outthinking... Outdoing...

Just recently I watched an Independent Film titled "Sikil." I never knew I'd like it not until I watched the entire film.

Three friends, two boys and a girl growing up in a small town south of Manila, share the same dreams, the same pains, the same visions and the same passions.

Its been quite sometime since I've seen my Diva Friends. Yes, I had to admit, I missed them. There was a time I needed to hibernate, I felt the need to be missed. Had a few misunderstaandings but I know we'll stick till the end. Anyways, just like my Social Eyes friends, their a family to me and we promised each other that we might not see each other often, we will remain the best of friends.

Last sunday, right after the exhausting but extremely fun Baguio ocular, I wnet straight to Mike;s place for the Annual Divas Christmas Party. I missed everyone, sincerely, I did and I hope they missed me like I missed spending time with them.

It was short but sweet. Sorry since I wasnt ready with my gifts. I'd like to mention, that I missed Mike and his Mom. Way back, I used to make tambay at Mike's place prior to working in Damam. I love her mom. I promised I'd drop by soon.

While waiting for bam to go on lunch, I decided to go to S&R and apply for membership. Tagal ko na plano 'to, but I guess, I was busy then and did not have the budget... kaya kanina, I took time 'to visit S&R alabang and sound myself paying the membership fee. Checked on some stuff first and got some stuff for Bam. Syempre, kain din kami ng favorite namin Quarter Pounder. We also bought some calzone to go.

Day 1 of Christmas Month

Its day one of the Christmas month and its day 1 for me to follow the diet instruction from my Dra. Feliciano. Again, sad but true.

So on my first day of this month, I am creating my New Year's Resolution for 2009 and I'm starting it today. My goal for 2009 is low sugar level and a stress free 2K9.

The Asian Experience

This would be my last entry for the month. Sad but true. 9:45 pm November 28, 2008, exactly on our 29th monthsary, I was rushed to the hospital due to food poisoning. Here are some shots I gathered during my stay.

I would like to thank my doctors, Dr. Amante, Dr. Salud and Dr. Feliciano. You guys are the best.

I would also like to thank my friends who visited me and spent dinner and wifi with me before fasting that night.

Celebrating 29 months

Bam and I had a great time at the Mall of Asia yesterday, we celebrated our 29th month. We went window shopping, to shopping to eating dinner and ate halo halo as per vic's advice, superb!!

But later that evening, it was sudden and very saddening that I had to get rushed to the Asian Hospital since I had severe stomach pains. Super thanks to my baby as he was there to the rescue. He was my superhero, my night and shining armor.

Now I'm still in the hospital, good thing, I don't have IV anymore. I'm looking forward to my super friends coming over and visiting as Bam went home to fix some errands and I have no one to talk to.

Well, its an experience being back at the Asian, sad... but an experience. Again thanks to Bam and Superfriends. I love you guys. Sana di malaman ng family ko.. ayaw ko sila magworry.

I am just super proud of this team. When I joined the team three months ago. It was a bit challenging since they had something of their own and I was trying to come up with a lot of ways to put myself in the picture. Look at us now, very funny, bonded and aside from getting a team of my own, I've got genuine friends.

I know I haven't been visible the past few weeks because of the responsibility the management entrusted me, but I'd like you guys to know.. that I miss you guys big time. I want you to know that you guys are banging under Daryl's supervision and hopefully we can still beat our scores. To Daryl, thank you for taking care of our babies. I love you guys.

4 Years and 4 Months of Outthinking and Outdoing

Time flies so fast. Exactly 4 years and 4 months ago, I started my career with the Big C unequipped and very amateur as a Team Leader. After my 3 month stay in the S program, I have learned a lot and I felt that I could be in any other program. The account was extremely difficult, not to mention, the customers on the phones as well. Convergys made me. I owe my career to this company.

I was searching for something on the net to post something on my blog and see what I found, pink butterfly picture. I know it's really nothing much, but for a person who's swamped and all stressed out with a lot of work, I'd do anything and everything to, for a while, stop and think of nice and simple things to unload the stress and complication of life, love and work.

I know what you're thinking... why don't I take a leave and leave the city and go to nice and serene place to rest. My answer is... no time. I'd like to utilize my simple moments with simple thoughts and uncomplicated stuff and this is one way to go about it.

Aside from this.. I look forward to my saturdays since I'd spend this time with my bambam and friends. I wish there were more saturdays and sundays... hehehe.

I have always dreamed of having my own lap top. Infact, I was about to get the Asus Laptop since Smart offered it as one of thier retention packages but at the same time talked to dear friend if I could buy one of his mac, he asked me to wait.

Last friday, it was as if it was my birthday, on Bam and Bert's celebration, Edward finally gave me his mac book. Hurrah!!!

Its been quite a while since my last post and since christmas is just around the corner, I'd like to thank and apologize to the people who I've been with this year.

I would like to start of with my Social Eyes Family. Its been a fruitful year for us, this was a year of friendship, extremely happy moments, there were challenges but we were able to face it and I'm happy to say, I learned a lot from it.

Thank you for being with me and sticking with me through the roughest times of my life. I super love you guys for that. I apologize if I've hurt you in many ways. I'm sorry if I made taklesa and maldita comments. This is who I am and I thank you for accepting who Dave is. Thank you for continously inspiring me every week.

I'd like to thank next my family, for being so understanding. I don't go to Parañaque every so often probably because of a few conflicts. I might not be able to help just like how my brothers and sister help my family but God knows how I love you guys especially Mama and my pamangkins and how much willing to help but there are factors that prevent me from doing so. I know, it may sound an excuse and I don't know how to explain it... maybe in the future.

I'd like to thank my team, for making my every day a happy day. Trying to make each day less stressfull. I love you guys.

Lastly, I'd like to say sincerely from the bottom of my heart, I love you bambam. Thank you for taking care of me the past 2 years. Ours may not be a perfect relationship, but you know in my heart and I know in your heart that there will be no other person in my life but you. You will be the only Angel who'll take care of me when I'm sick, make me happy when I'm sad and I promise to do the same thing to you so long as we're together. Mahal na mahal kita. Sorry for some short comings and thank you for making each day of my life complete.

Guess what I'm Cooking? Every single day, I think of what to cook. I checked on the net and I found something really 'sarap.'

Pork Binagoongan (Pork in Shrimp Paste)

Ingredients:
1 kilo pork (Liempo) with fat (cut into cubes)
2 cups of bagoong alamang (Shrimp Paste)
1 head of garlic (minced)
1 big onion (minced)
4 tomatoes (diced)
4 chili peppers (minced) or according to taste
½ cup vinegar
4 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup water

Cooking procedure:
1. In a casserole, put water and boil pork in a low fire until water evaporates.
2. When oil from pork starts to come out, fry it until it's lightly crispy then put in on the side.
3. Saute' garlic, onion, chili and tomatoes with the oil from the cooked pork and pour pork and mix it.
4. Add bagoong/shrimp paste and cook for 5 minutes.

Last saturday was a fun filled saturday for Team Dave since we had our first ever out of town Team Building at Canyon Cove Wawa, Nasugbu Batangas. Thanks to our friend edward who made this happen. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the short stay at Canyon Cove. As promised, here are the pics of the event.

We arrived safely at Canyon Cove after a 2 hour drive from Las Piñas City.

All smiles, laughter and unlimited videoke, that's what happened after unpacking our things.

After dinner was booze time till 4am. Jayvee, Wyeth and Tin were our survivors .

... and at 5am, Baba, Rhalf and I, followed by Rain, Omeng and Eddie and Abby was wanting to see the sunrise... but haring araw did not show himself since it was a cloudy.

Time to go home and took our final pics before leaving. We left the place with all smiles.

We had our dinner at the famous bulalo resto in tagaytay. We super loved it. Planning ahead, we thought of going to baguio next team building... some suggested we go to galera first before baguio. Till out next team building. =)

Im exremely happy the storm has ended. It's really never the same when these people are not around. I don't expect wounds healed, because I know that scars will be left. This is my reaction to Jose Angelo Suarez blog entry on "stillness".

Having a conversation with a friend who’s leaving for abroad, he asked me about some falling out that happened a few months ago. He told me that some from the old group were saying that I set a high standard in friendship, etc. Then I realized, in my silence they were flinging mud in my direction, unbeknownst to me. Of course I should have expected that. Yet it’s still different when you see it actually happen.

(Hoy Gelo, nagpapaniwala ka dyan sa taong dati mong halos ikasuklam dahil sa makati nyang bibig/malaking panguya dahil sinasabi mo na kung ano ano ang hinihibla nya, ngayon nagpapaniwala ka sa sinasabi ng taong yan. Sabagay, ndi ako nagtataka... konti lang naman ang deprensya nyo sa isat isa. At anong sinasabi mong high standard... Gelo, repasuhin mo nga ang pinagsusulat mo... nalaman namin lahat kung anong sinasabi mo pagwala ang isa samin... ang kapal naman ng mukha mo... kung ano ang sinasabi mong walang katotohanan... bagay nga kayo ng mapaghibla mong kaibigan... wala kayong pinagkaiba.)

But you know what, that’s true. For anyone, that’s true. Who doesn’t put a standard in the friendships one makes? I made the change because I wanted to ultimately attract strong friendships. Friends that trust. Friends that are stable. In all their drama and fickle-mindedness, I did not find such a bond in those old friends. That’s why in the end, I was asking the universe for a way out.

As I hung up the phone, I started thinking. I was thinking so passionately that at some point I was too distracted to sleep. I asked God for a resolution to this. In my mind and in my heart I asked him aloud. I asked him with all sincerity. Then it came, this moment of peace, this moment of self-reflection…

At that moment of stillness, I began to realize, those words didn’t matter. I am now in a good place, in a place that I asked to be in. Those words are from the past. What I have now, I was asking for then. I have attracted people, things and circumstances that have finally given me peace, strength and stability.

I am stronger than depression. I am braver than loneliness. I have the Universe at my side. Most important of all, I have peace.

Yes!! It's true and not a rumor. Bigger Manila Groove 2008 was a huge success. More than 100 people joined the event and all of them had fun and enjoyed the night. I would have to say, I feel the effect of recession in the call center business. Just recently, I heard that a call center filed insolvency. Another call center released 720 specialist because they can't sustain the headcount. Sad but true.

Its been quite a while since I wrote my own poem. Exactly on our 22nd monthsary, I was inspired to write a poem for my baby.

I have had several relationships in the past 7 years and always hoped that he was that person in my dreams, that that love would last not a long time but forever. Each and every relationship, I always hoped and prayed the current relationship to be the last. Im tired, im tired of hoping... loving... getting hurt... and repeat the cycle once more. That is why, I always tell Bam, how much I love him. We talk about what has happened and what can we do not to commit the same mistakes in the future. I hope... that someday... Its so much fun when you spend it with your closest and the one you love. As usual, this was a time for bonding, fun, pleasure and talk. So many good movies... so little time

Since last week, I have been wanting to watch a movie. There's just so many good movies to watch out for nowadays and I didn't want myself watching the must-see movies on its 3rd or 4th week just like I did when Bam and I watched the Iron Man or ending watching it on DVD (Well, not a bad idea... but its super different when you see it in a theatre.)

Finally, she's back... Carrie and her best chikadoras, our super fave characters in SEX and the CITY is back... now a movie!!! Almost everyone is awaiting for their comeback.

Another movie... I am wanting to watch is Star Cinemas 15th Year Anniversary presentation. I know its jologs to some, pabayaan nyo na ako friends... I'm a big fan of Sharon Cuneta.

Another certified block buster by Miss Sharon Cuneta, Caregiver a movie directed by Chito Roño is the 15th Anniversary offering of Star Cinema. It was shown last May 28, 2008, most of the scenes were shoot in London.

These past few days, I have been reading several blogs of some of my closest friends and not, and I find it super interesting. I leave some comments to show them how I could agree more and about their thoughts and superb ideas.

Last night, I accidentally clicked on a link of a blogspot of an ex-friend and decided to read through it. All that I could say is, this person, this ex-friend is such an egocentric moron. He only speaks highly of himself... and I think that's stupid.

There was even one article there that he asks the universe of such and such... ***sigh*** ... and that the universe would always side to his favor. If only the universe can talk... this person might get extremely surprised of what the universe has to say.

Im gonna stop right here... and I hope this is the last time I write this type of article.

My Message to my x-friend: Go find a life... especially now that no one believes you due to your careless acts and egocentric ideas. Stop creating stories, stories without proof... you remind me of someone (wala na kayo pinagkaiba)... this might probably be a cause of one of your hallucinations. You might want to re-assess and ask the universe again of what now... and I think that this is high time that you do this before its too late... think about it.

whoooo shoooo... its still gonna be a happy day... coz I have friends around... not a one shot-deal, not fickle and most important, we love each other and we dont back stab each other... I think that is friendship.

I have read most of my friends blogs and they all had a post regarding our friend Richard's surprise bday party. I think, everything has been said... the surprise... good food... great venue... fantabulous socialites (socialites lang talaga).

Just to be a bit different, I did a collage and it says everything that I have to say about the party. I love it... I love Rica and Richard. I so love the socialites.

... and the famas goes to... what a shocker... the award goes to BigJim, JimNev and Vic. Supporting actor goes to Richard's Better Half... Ardee. Yehey!!!

The Iron Man

You might be thinking why watch the Iron Man just now. My answer to that is simple. Why not?

Enjoyed the whole evening last night with my baby. After school, we went straight to Alabang Town Center to watch the last full show. There were four cinemas slotted for Indianna Jones and the Cinema 5 for Iron Man.

We decided to watch the Iron Man as we heard a lot of good reviews and comments about the movie. We bought the tickets and had dinner at North Park as the movie would start 10:45pm.

Bam and I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed my night with Bam. It was simple, but being with Bam made it super different. Come to think of it, its been several months since we had a date.

Going back to the Movie... the movie was really good. Allow me to score the movie based on the movie content and how my friends gave their comments about it.

Super Friends

It has been more than 3 days since my first article and since its my leave (VL), I will take this opportunity to create another entry.

Had a chance to go to Richard's Party last saturday and it was sooo much fun. There were lots of food, drinks, we had the pool... the best part is... all our friends were there. It was a time to enjoy each others company, talk about what happened the past week, make sure that we keep the ties stronger each day.

I'd like to present, my super friends through thick and thin...

good and bad times...

there might be conflicts

but we make sure that we manage it

use these moments to make the bond the strongest (taray superlative)

... and I'd like to stick with them till I grow old.
